I am looking for a part number for a wing tube of any still in production air plane. The wing tube I have is from a discontinued model. The damaged tube is 24 inches long by 3/4 inches OUTSIDE DIAMETER. If any body has a plane with a tube at least that long or longer but exactly 3/4 O.D. Please send me the plane type, model number, part number of tube and most of all the manufactures name. If all else fails, I will try to see if Metals "R" Us in Burnside might be able to supply a thin wall 3/4 o.d. tube. Thank you.

Last time I spoke with Metals R Us, they had just about every size imaginable. $10 min purchase. If you call them, see if they have the phenolic sleeves for them as well, that the tubes slide into. Probably not, but worth a try. I do know how to make your own sleeves though, cheap and easy.

Oh sure, next we'll see you using gun tape on your planes.

I found a tension rod for a shower curtain was nothing more than one tube of aluminum inside another. Probably not snug enough fit for your purposes though.

Ron, you can't have two metal tubes like that, the rf will be tremendous.

Thanks for all the tips for this wing tube. I will be going to Metals "R" Us next week. If all else fails, I have an air nailer/spiker I can use with two pieces of 3/4 inch ply wood on both sides of the wing.

Not withstanding, where would Glen hang his nice pink shower curtains if Ron took his shower rods
