Gents, the November MAAC newsletter is now available. In this issue reports on a couple of Atlantic Zone members taking part in the NEAT fair in New York State, the HEFA/Shearwater joint barbecue, the Wings of Wellington Oktoberfest meet, an IMAC meet in New Glasgow, a report on the recent MAAC annual meeting by our Zone Dirrector Regis and an item on the MAST chili fly in Truro. Also listed are details of several indoor venues over the winter. Unfortunately due to a brain bump I forgot to include our own ASRCM indoor event which starts November 7th at the Riverside Elementary School in Milford (same as last year) all flyers welcome and no fee for participating. Other clubs hosting indoors are asked to send details to me and I'll promote them in the upcoming newsletters. Thanks to all those, and there are a number, who sent material for the newsletter this month. Without your continued support this newsletter wouldn't be happening! You can find it here: www.asrcm.ns.ca/files/Nov-2016-newsletter.pdf

Way too much gas and nitro stuff in there! What about us Electric Flyers? lol Yup, retirement soon to an RV, has meant I've had to change sides, and I'm now the owner of an EFlite P-47, and a cool FMS Tempest! Down with stinkers! lol

It's been easy so far, but the flying is about over. Might be pressed for stuff over the winter. we'll see. any indoor events on the horizon in the city this winter?

lol great response! Lots of build stuff on the go, post a lot on our facebook page. The 1/4 SE5A will be electric, with full sound system, if that's of interest. If I have time, I can write a short article on the joys of building, and you should get someone to speak to altering foamies, new paint schemes, mods, etc, Rob Forbrigger would be great for doing that.

No indoors Al, people get upset when we fire up the gassers indoors. I fired up a screaming .40 OS in a gym for a cub pack once upon a time and let each young fella hang on to the tail to feel the pull. They loved it. Don't remember how much smoke was in the gym. Cub leaders suggested it, so I complied. We were there for a static display. Haha And now you know why I had so much trouble hearing at the zone meeting. Lol Jim Turner was there with me at the time. The plane was one of his designs. Ah, memories!

You're on Dave. I'd love to have an item on building. Seriously, please do it. I see all your stuff on Facebook and have used some of it. I'm a bit concerned sometimes maac members elsewhere might feel it's a nova Scotia newsletter. I browse a lot of other out of province websites, but most of them are just there and never change much so I cannot steal anything new. People have been great though when I inquire about events that have completed. And I'll contact Rob. Marc Roy also is great at modifying foamies. Any other good ideas? Don't just stop there.

As a non-Bluenoser, I've had the sense that the NS clubs and flyers are simply more active and outgoing than us folks in NB at least. So it stands to reason there would be more NS content in the newsletter. It was that way when Cato was doing it, so I don't see it as a bias. You work with what ya got!

Cool, and we need to pressure Rob to do an article on bashing foamies, he's the master.
