Hi Folks and engine experts
The Shearwater Cub that was presented to me by the club has a Magnum XL Four Stroke .91 engine
I noticed last weekend when trying to start the engine it has almost no compression - I was able to easily turn the prop with one finger. Reading up, I opened the valve cover to see if one of the valves was stuck open but all appears fine
More reading on subject I discovered that Magnum XL engines are known for poor compression and it's nothing to worry about. Simply do an RPM test and if in right 9K range, you're good to go
Could this be valid info?
I don't want to take engine apart if I don't have to
