Good eye Ron, it's a late model seafire, probably just about the last spitfires types built. There were a few minor differences between spite and seafires such as arrestor hooks, strengthening plates etc.., I think the wings were lengthened somewhat, that might be whats throwing you off.

Most obvious change in the latest model Spits (Mk 24) is the tear-drop canopy.

Thank you, Vic. This is one of the ones I shall be advertising for the lady I mentioned to you.

It is, Vic! Wingspan is 48 inches and here is a general picture of the inside, and a closeup of the motor so you can see the specs. I'm about to post it at an asking price of $150. receiver-ready no battery pack.

I was wondering the same thing. It's a sweet looking model.

Revisited this airplane today. It does not have retracts, although wheelwells are present in the wings. I also found that there are no servos and no receiver, just motor and ESC. It appears to have been built from plans or a kit, definitely not an ARF but appears well built and particularly nicely done on the outside. Here are some pics of the underside. The wires protruding from the wheelwells are just airleron leads. Since this post started out as an identity question, I will post a proper "for sale" ad in the correct forum section. The only reference I found for a Seafire RC model was here Seafire RC Model but it is a 64" wingspan job, released in 2011 but offered only in the UK and Australia by a company called E-Scale. Where this 48" w/s model came from I have no idea. Perhaps it's somewhat of a rare bird!
