Guys,
Our annual Fun Fly and Open House on 16 July is fast approaching!
As in past years, the field will be open on Friday, 15 July, late afternoon/evening for the set-up followed by some open flying and over-night camping (whoohoo!). The main event will take place on Saturday, with Sunday held as our rain date. If the weather is good on Saturday and the main event goes as planned, then Sunday will be a regular day of open flying. That being said, any and all campers are welcome to stay overnight on Saturday night, as well, in order to continue flying on Sunday.
To make the event a success again this year, we will, as always, require the support of our membership for various tasks throughout the event. Event set-up will take place on Friday late afternoon early evening (tents, tables, chairs, parking and spectator area marking). On Saturday we'll need folks for parking direction, registration, help with the food, to organize and run some fun contests, and to put on flying displays of various facets of the hobby. Finally on Sunday, we'll need help for the tear down. The idea is to spread the workload among many, so that everyone has the greatest opportunity to relax and enjoy the fun fly.
So folks, please keep that weekend open and step-up to volunteer for any of these important elements that will make our big annual event a success and an enjoyable day for all.
Thanks,
Your Pres

Hey, sun's up way earlier than that. So, the campers then, can fly for 2-3 hrs before the crowds arrive. Sweet.

Just found out that the ground is water logged after last night's torrential rains
We hope the grounds will dry up today with the sun
Good news - The sun should be out for next few days

Photos are large even after reducing the size...I can only get one per post. I'll see about posting them to photobucket and linking to them.
