Guys,
I would like to formally invite all my RC flying friends to join in on my retirement party on Saturday 2 June at my "almost" completed beach-side home in West Lawrencetown. I'm retiring from 35 years of military service and Mary has put together a casual get-together which will include a taco supper (in my new garage, of course!) and a big bonfire. Things get going anytime after 6 pm at our 500 West Lawrencetown Rd address. So bring your families, whatever you would like to drink, and some lawn chairs for the fireside.
Oh, and you might even consider bringing a small park-flyer or two, as there's plenty of flying space in the back pasture should the weather permit...
Hope to see you there!
Cheers, Vic

Congrats Vic.....both to you and Mary! Very much deserved. Thirty Five years is quite a milestone (almost as old as the Seaking itself!) I just might drop by with a few bottles of home made wine

Thanks again for the invitation Vic.
It was a blast and what a nice house and garage to die for....
Imagine the RC workshop you could have in a garage that includes a car hoist and a full size plane (minus the wings of course). And the view from main floor is gorgeous
I left early but was wondering if Richard or Scooterboy ended up dancing on a raised hoist later during the soiree
They were discussing it whilst drinking "Capt Vic" beer when I left....LOL

Hey Marc and Don,
Thank you, guys, for coming out to the party. It was good to have you there.
The model airplane workshop will actually be upstairs (next to the living space), so the main shop with the hoist will be primarily for car projects. But at 900 sq ft, the upstairs workshop will be plenty big enough for any rc projects. I actually hope to host some build seminars for the club there, through the winter months in the future. Maybe even some rc movie get-togethers.
And yes, the partiers Richard and Kevin did eventually get up to some antics on the hoist later in the evening...(P.S. - no one got hurt)!
