Today I was flying my 40 Ugly Stick and noticed on startup that the idle was too fast even though I had used up all my low throttle trim
Rather than staying on the ground and fixing the issue I went flying
It landed faster than usual and even the kill switch would not work. I caught up to it while it was taxing and then tried to squeeze the fuel hose to starve the engine off
Unfortunately, I was not thinking and the plane stopped the prop hit my right little finger. I WAS EXTREMELY lucky as all I got was a pretty good lateral cut on my small finger and had to make use of the club'd First Aid kit. Probably could have used a few stitches but....
Moral of the story is -
1) Only fly your plane when all ALL is working properly
and
2) KEEP YOUR FINGERS AWAY FROM THE PROP!

Don't worry Marc ...I'll replace the First aid kit tomorrow with a new Super sized kit. Get well!
