Finally an easy question !!!!!! Maybe!
Heavy red wire on left in photo is '+' positive, heavy Black wire on left is '-' Negative. servo wire goes into throttle position on receiver. three wires on right go to motor. IF MOTOR rotates in wrong direction swap any two of the three wires and that will change the direction of rotation of the motor.
EASY?
The ESC label seems correct for colour of the positive and negative but wrong for where the + and - are located.
If you can see into the left end of the ESC (under the heat shrink) and see what the red or black wire connect too, that would tell. If the red wire goes to the positive of the Capacitor the wires colour is correct. or the black goes to the negative of the capacitor then the wire colour would be correct.

You might have to cut back the heat shrink a little to see where the wires connect. but what they connect to is what tells you what is correct.
The more I think about this the more I think the label is wrong and the wire colours are correct, but you have to verify what wire goes where.

Thanks Kevin, I cut back a bit of heat shrink and it is wire correctly , neg on capacitor to black ,so the labeling was wrong . Thanks Dennis

That is a strange one Dennis! Definitely looks like the conductor colours are wrong on the ESC.
What type of capacitor are you connecting? Normally wouldn't these go on the 5VDC from the receiver, to help with very brief brownouts?
Also - easy to get you re-registered with HEFA forums. Just PM your info and we will help!

I was going to say be carefully as motor could go backwards
I've had that happen once, missed big screen TV by inches

always remove prop until you know the direction of rotation of the prop!! a rule with electrics I live by.
