I want to thank EVERYBODY that took their time to help me locate my lost plane. Special thanks to Dennis that found a dead branch to get my plane out of the tree. Thanks again. John

Here is a novel idea about the next time a person loses a plane in the woods like I did. Most of us carry a cell phone with us. I think most cell phones have a compass app in them.. Take a reading from the field end and last seen of plane. Then when you get into the thick bush, take out your cell phone and get the general reading back. It should save a.lot of time wondering around in areas where a plane isn’t. Just a random thought from an old person.

Excellent idea, John. That would have enabled me to conduct a much better drone search. Speaking of which, due to your plane's lack of bright, contrasting colours, I doubt I would have seen it even in a low hover, directly overhead. Another thought from another old person. Tim
