FYI
I have just upgraded the RPAS wilco app on my Tablet and phone. This is a free app for MAAC Members.
This is an app to assist in meeting RPAS operations requirements for Flights in the 250g-25kg range
You have to enter all required data as required by the new regulations, before flight. Pilot Permit, CofREGistration , time of day, location, wx ect.
I would recommend this app in light of the new norm for us modellers, if things do not revert back to
our original requirement to operate at our flying field, this may be a mandatory Requirement, consider it to be a flight Plan for your proposed Model Flight.
I hope it doesn't come to this
Just my perspective as I see it, and it is a free app. Shocked Roll Eyes
Happy Flying

Also to get it to work you must have (min) your basic certificate as you have to enter that number to activate the app.

Alternatively, you could try the NAV Drone or AIRMAP app. Granted, they are both drone-related/specific. However, in TC's eyes unless/until they come to their senses, "if it flies remotely, it's a drone"! Tim

Further to my last, as an increasing number of RC fixed-wing aircraft are fitted with a GPS and/or camera (for FPV purposes), the difference between those and GPS/camera drones is becoming more blurred. Even my now three-year old Apprentice is fitted for, but not currently with, a GPS.
