Once Beaver Bank is all setup and we are flying .....sometime in April. I will be starting to shut this forum down (In steps). My plan is to remove all but a couple thread Headers. Keeping Flying Schedule and Shearwater RC Flyers News & Notes active. By Mid summer I'm hoping all of you will have opened a Beaver Bank forum account and by then I will close this forum and the SRCF Facebook Page. Starting in Mid summer all indoor posts will be made on the BeaverBank forum only. There is no plan to open another Facebook page for Beaver Bank.

Another point for this summer is the removal of the sheds and contents out on the old runway. My plan is to offer the sheds to PSP for the Beach and let PSP move them. Leaving us just the contents to move to BeaverBank (3 wooden Picnic tables and 5 build/start tables etc) plus other odds and ends we can make use out at the new field. All but the sheds we can move ourselves.

I just posted this on our Facebook page and already have positive comments.

It has been all most a year since last posting. In this time SRCF has received their SOC to re-open the Club under MAAC and Transport Canada rules. Unfortunately we have a third layer of governance...we are a military club! with so many bosses each having there own rules and regs, there is conflict, because of this it is not sustainable to keep the club operating with a limited membership of less than 10 members in a control zone operating under advanced pilot certificates on weekends and holidays only. In the next few months I will begin shutting down our forum and this Facebook page as the club is dissolved. The former members have come together and found a new flying site in uncontrolled airspace (with a paved runway). we will be transferring our remaining assets to this new location operating under only one governance...Transport Canada rules. We will not be associated with the Military or MAAC. Our new Association will be incorporated as a non profit "association" with private liability insurance and our own set of field rules capable of flying 24/7 with only weather interfering with our enjoyment of the hobby. Thank you to all those that have followed this Facebook page, we will not be setting up another for the new association. I will give everyone a month or two to comment as they see fit. then the page will be removed. Kevin McKay Page admin "

If you haven't noticed I have begun the process of removing non-used categorizes and over the next month more and more will disappear.
