it's really hard to hold a plane while trying to turn a screw into it. But I will be doing what I can. The Zero that was Trevor's will keep me busy for a little while while I touch things up on it so that it can fly safely next year. I just finished making a list of things that could use repair or upgrading/modification.

Kevin, I noticed you have a propane heater in your awesome model factory. Have you used it and does it work well. Im curious as to the amount of propane it consumes?

I've used it for a couple weeks now just to take off the chill. Today I used it to heat the place as it was cold. It took about 20 minutes to raise the temp in the uninsulated garage (16x24) 5-7 degrees. Over the last few weeks I've used about 1/3 of the propane bottle with about a total burn time of 1.5 hrs (not always at high heat). In hind sight if I was to buy another one I would get the dual burner version to speed the heating process, this one only puts out 16000 BTUs

Thanks ! I have a 24x24 Insulated garage that I was looking for alternative heating choices. Where did you get yours?
Not trying to hi-jack your thread

You know the Decathelon isn't a low wing, right? Think you built it upside down! lol
Looks great, keep up the pics and notes.

Well getting the first decals perfectly aligned was tricky but their on!. Now to fill in the remainder for the Wing. Not bad for working in only +2 Deg Garage.

It does indeed, you're proving yourself worthy of the kit! lol Sucks about the heat, I can't even wear a sweater in my shop, it's too toasty. . . .

Well finally had to give up on the unheated garage and moved the decathlon into the house to finish covering. Here are a couple shots of the fuse with base covering complete. Now it is time to hinge the controls and finish off the control rod installation.

I'm shocked and saddened that you didn't go with monokote hinges, sigh.
